With over 20 years of teaching experience--ranging from working with technology and energy multinationals to pre-K reading awareness programs--Steven's career has mirrored what he has known from a young age: he was born to teach. Steven's passion for and understanding of optimal learning processes is at the heart of all his work.

Steven's work in cross-cultural communication, global awareness, international business, and organizational development began in the San Francisco Bay Area and then took him across the Pacific Ocean to Japan. Steven helps organizations understand that success--from work team to international corporate offices--is built on trust, understanding, and connection. He works across the economic spectrum with for-profit, nonprofit, and public sector organizations of all sizes as a consultant, trainer, and board member. Steve is a curriculum developer, an adult learning expert, a trainer and a session mediator for Professional Passport. 

He holds two educational degrees--an English education degree from North Carolina State University and a master's degree in international adult education from San Francisco State University--and has been a guest speaker across the US at schools like Harvard University, University of Chicago, and the University of Southern California. Steven is the author of “The Idealist Guide to Nonprofit Careers for Sector Switchers” and a featured purpose-driven workplace expert on NPR’s Marketplace and in The NY Times.
